What Gregor Leather Design Stands For.

Gregor Leather Design is a dedicated brand committed to promoting positive life and community attitudes through a perfect harmony of style, function, and thoughtful design. We believe that quality craftsmanship, combined with aesthetic appeal, can influence not only individual lives but also enhance the spirit of our communities as a whole. Our mission is to create timeless pieces that elevate everyday experiences while encouraging a sense of connection and belonging.

We believe in an Aesthetic Mindset. This simply states we have the capacity to be both aware of the arts and aesthetics that are all around us. It’s up to us to incorporate these in our lives and then to share with others in our circle. We think this expands our world while giving us purpose at the same time.

This is all based on new developing scientific and technological advances in the study of physiology. What is being revealed is scientific proof of we have know all our lives, the arts, design, aesthetics have positive life sustaining effect on us. Scientists call this neuroaesthetics or expansively neuroarts.

Gregor Leather Design wholly subscribes and supports this theory. We like to think that well designed artistic products have more than a short life span or serves this season’s fashion, it enhances our mindset, our emotions because we feel better. This is not to say this is self-serving narcissism. No, this about you taking something meaning, thoughtful and letting those associated emotions wash over you. And then giving those good feeling to others, to your community or you closet people.

Martha Graham (1894–1991) an American modern dancer and choreographer pioneering a style that emphasized the expression of emotion through movement by focusing on the contraction and release of the body, creating a deep connection between movement and emotion made the following statement.“There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all time, this expression is unique.” We couldn’t have said any better.

We think that how one moves throughout the day is an expression of one’s outlook. The wearing an article of clothing or a leather accessory represents not only our uniqueness but as Graham said, it is our “ . . .vitality, a life force . . . translated through you . . .”. This, metaphorically, bumps into others.
